Features a poster from the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, advertising the prices of refreshments at the gardens in 1824; 'Juba', a musician and dancer entertaining at Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, one of the first black performers appreciated for his talent rather than because hw was black, 1824; An image taken from a poster for "Mr. Van Ambrugh, the celebrated conqueror of brute creation", one of the main attractions at Vauxhall; Dan Leno, a music hall performer and comedian, seen here playing 'Mother Goose' in 1902; 'Sandy the Clown' appearing at Astley's Amphitheatre, 1884; The Royal Coburg Theatre, Waterloo Road, later The Old Vic, from an engraving by an unknown artist, 1835; Charlie Chaplin's visit to Lambeth Town Hall, 1954; The programme cover of 'Aladdin', playing at The Empress, Brixton, 1945.
