This Black history pack has been produced by Lambeth Archives in partnership with Lambeth teachers and tested with local school classes. It aims to provide relevant and local sources for the teaching of Black history, citizenship and ICT skills at Keystage 2, 3 and 4. The pack uses much original documentary material in formats that are suitable for different keystage and curriculum requirements. it includes a section on effective teaching and learning and a series of learning topics, each containing documents and images, teachers notes, model questions and ideas for projects and further work. Digital versions of the original sources and material for ICT work are included on the CD-Rom. Topic include slaves and servants, parish registers, the Victorian anti-slavery movement, nineteenth century newspapers, Black performers and the Black people in Lambeth after Windrush.
